About me

Hi, I’m Kari!

Hello & Nice to Meet You!

A little about me...I'm a  Wildlife Endocrinologist & Reproductive Physiologist specializing in elephants and giraffes. I received my Ph.D. from George Mason University in collaboration with the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. I'm from Nebraska and call it home.... small town girls can dream big:)
I am the Founder and CEO of Morfeld Research & Conservation, LLC,, Founder & President of the nonprofit, For Elephants, Inc.; and solo parent of two young animal-loving girls, Scarlett & Gianna and two fur children, Molly & Prince Naveen.
I have been conducting elephant and wildlife research in zoos and in Africa for 22 years (yes, since I was 20:) I love science, animals, God, nature, and helping others find their way in a noisy world.
My mission is to serve animals by serving people. Thanks for stopping by!  Send me a message to introduce yourself!
